Guest Heart Thursday #53

A couple of weeks ago I wrote that I posted what I hoped were the last snow hearts of this winter season. Well, here's one more. It's big, huge actually, as you can see it from right across the fjord.

My other hearts this week:

A fog heart.

A tree log end heart.
A tree top heart.

Two pavement hearts.

Heart shaped flower petals.

Signs, Signs #15

In January 2000 My husband and I went to Morocco for a week. It was his Christmas present to me, all booked, and ready to go, 2 weeks after Christmas. I love presents like that!
These pictures are scanned from the old APS films we had then, so the quality is not too good. But even then, long before I had even heard of blogging, I enjoyed photographing signs.
The languages in Morocco are arabic, which I don't know at all, french, which I know enough of to kind of get by, and various tribal languages. Signs were mostly in arabic, and in some cases, also in french.

We assumed this one meant "STOP"

I would love to know what this means, if anyone understands it!

We rented a car and drove into the Atlas mountains. On our way to the mountain pass Tizi n Test, we passed by this "restaurant". This was literally in the middle of nowhere, but Coca Cola was there, at least we understood that part :-)

Reaching the summit at altitude 2100 meters, this sign announced the restaurant "The beautiful view".  We saw beautiful views while driving up, but on top we drove into heavy fog, and didn't see a thing.

This was the "restaurant":

"Road built by the Public Works Department in Morocco"

I loved Morocco and would love to go back!

Guest Heart Thursday #52

This week my daughter had worn a heart shaped hole in her socks!

During a forrest walk I found a small heart,

a big heart,

and a heart puddle.

Our camper van has blinds that cover the windows completely,
and recently I noticed that the sliding rail makes it look like
there's a row of hearts.

Swan story for World Bird Wednesday XXI

The other day I finally spotted some swans that seemed to be within camera range from the road, but the swans were not really that eager to be photo models. As soon as I got out of the car, this is what happened:

Oh oh, camera alert!

Ok, let's get out of here...

Get organized back there!

That's it, line up!

Hepp, two, three, four, hepp, two, three, four...

I guess that's far enough, back into the water!

Wait for me, it's so slippery!

Ok, ok, I think I can make it!

Please visit World Bird Wednesday for amazing bird photos.

Guest Heart Thursday #51

On Tuesday this week I had my lunch outside on the deck for the first time this year. The northern wind was really cold, but we have a corner that's nice and sheltered. My camera was there with me (of course!), and I was looking around randomly for something to photograph while waiting for birds to show up at the feeder. I could not believe my eyes when I saw this heart shape between some branches! Right there, in the middle of the picture! I have lived in this house for 22 years and never seen it before. But it's a matter of being in the right spot to catch the right angle.

Here is a close-up of it:

On one of our walks this week I found a really good heart rock.

Here is one from my archives.
Years ago we saw this rock formation on an island, Måløy, off the north western coast of Norway. Constant grinding ocean waves have given the rock this shape. This is amazing in it self, but even more amazing is the fact that I see 9 hearts on the rocks, and 2 in the ocean (1 big and 1 very small)!

Visit Clytie at Random Hearts for more heart warming photos.
