I spotted this sign in the tiny village Henningsvær in the Lofoten part of northern Norway, in mid August. During the summer months, this place is absolutely crawling with tourists, and many will park anywhere without consideration to the locals. This local obviously got fed up, but I'm glad they added the smiley face; it kind of takes the edge off and adds some humor to the frustration :-)
And anyway, there was a large parking lot for tourists, with spaces for cars, camper vans and busses only a few hundred meters from this spot.

Sometimes a little smiley face goes a long way.
Some people are lazy and don't want to walk. Walking is good for you, so I tend to park further away and get a little extra exercise. Besides, you might see something photo-worthy :-)
I think a lot of frustration led up to that sign. Nice catch!
Without that smiley face those words are quite different and has to be taken seriously ^_^

And whoever parks there again will not be thinking about it at all!
That sign seems like a desperate plea!
That smiley sign helps. Nice find.
that sign puts a smile on my face.
i smiled back at the smiley.:p
great find!
cool :)
Yes, the smiley face does make it feel a tad more friendly. ;)
At LEAST there is a smiley face, kind of takes the bite out of the words.....in Chicago they wouldn't THINK of put a smiley face on the sign!
Well, did you think about it? I won't tell the sign-maker. ;)
Yes -- the smiley is a friendly addition. I've seen similar signs here, such as at the end of people's driveways -- when they live on a street near a fairgrounds or somewhere that might sometimes get busy. They don't always seem quite as friendly as yours does!
