Guest Heart Thursday #38

Guest Heart Thursday from Clytie at Random Hearts.

My hearts today are really totally random

I had taken a piece of cake out of the freezer, and suddenly
noticed this heart where the tape had been torn from the wrapping.

And then I looked down on the kitchen floor and saw
this bit of wrapping paper that had escaped the bin!

A Very Happy New Year to you all!

Guest Heart Thursday #37

Guest Heart Thursday from Clytie at Random Hearts.

A few years ago we drove through the Swiss alps,
and I spotted these amazing hearts in a field.

I don't know if they are natural, and if so, how they could have appeared.
Or maybe a farmer in love made them? :-)

I took this one out of the kitchen window today,
and if you add some goodwill,
you may be able to see some snow hearts.

A Heartfelt Happy Christmas and much love to you all! :-)

Himmelsk #15 and Skywatch Friday

Skywatch Friday, season 4, episode 24

I was so disappointed at not getting to see the lunar eclipse on Tuesday morning due to snow. However, fortunately I got some shots of the full moon on Monday evening. This is the rising moon taken at 4.50 pm.

Noen timer senere, kl. 21.30, hadde det begynt å skye over, og ringen rundt månen varslet den snøen som skulle komme på morgenen og ødelegge formørkelsen.

A few hours later, at 9.30 pm, it was clouding over, and the moon had that ring, forecasting the snow that would fall in the morning, and ruin my eclipse experience.

JEG ØNSKER DERE ALLE EN VIDUNDERLIG JULEHØYTID,

OG HUSK Å TA MASSE BILDER :-)

I WISH YOU ALL A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY,

AND MAKE SURE YOU TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS :-)

Featured Art Tuesday #15 and Guest Heart Thursday # 36

Here is more of my jewelry, with heart designs this time,
to fit both themes.

The big necklace is multi functional; it's a broach,
but can also be attached to different chains, here shown with beads.
It's made in silver, pierced, textured, stamped, soldered and oxidized.

This necklace, here on a leather cord, also looks nice on a silver chain.
The metal is silver, with a hammered texture, and oxidized.

These days I also keep finding hearts in the frozen ground :-)
(The pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them,
but I think the heart shows up best in the smaller versions)

Finally, a warm one, that decorates our living room
in these pre christmas advent days :-)

Himmelsk #14 and Skywatch Friday 4/23

Himmelsk/Heavenly er fra Petunia.

Skywatch Friday.

Jeg snudde ryggen til solnedgangen,
og universet presenterte seg i pasteller.

I turned my back to the sunset,
and the universe presented itself in pastels.

Challenge #11 - Flowers

The theme for this challenge from 2 daughters, 1 mother, 3 cameras is Flowers.

A flower from Brazil, after a rain shower.

Budding leaves on a local tree, in April.

This little flower is a norwegian wild flower called Star of the woods.
It's tiny, with a diameter of only about 1 cm.

These are typical of wet, swampy areas, and are called "swamp wool".

The dried up stem of a plant that has little white flowers in the summer.

A magnolia flower, shot in the Hunter Valley Rose Gardens, Australia.

And finally, a couple of "ice flowers" :-)

Guest Heart Thursday #35

Clytie at Random Hearts is the host of Guest Heart Thursday.

My husband spent most of August and September this year in hospital, receiving stem cell transplant treatment for leukemia. One of my little attempts to brighten up his room was this picture of the two of us. I attached it to the red heart so it could hang from the IV stand (which we nick named "Hangman"). It received a lot of attention from the staff, who thought is was so cute :-)

These pictures are from before he lost his hair from the chemo.
You can see the picture up there among the various iv bags.

My other blog Journey to life documents Sigve's journey from being admitted to hospital with the leukemia diagnosis, through stem cell transplant treatment, and on to recovery at home.
