Shadow Shot Sunday #179

During my visit to Australia this summer,
my friends took me to Canberra,
to see Australia's new Parliament Building.

Shadows from inside the entrance area.

Several skylights provide daylight inside the building.

Architecturally it's a very interesting structure
that's built into a hill and covered with grass.

What an interesting looking building!

I've often thought building into the side of a hill would be perfect here where we have very hot summers and very cold winters. Skylights and solar panels, and we'd have perfection!
This is definitely a beautiful building with wonderful shadows, Inger. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Wonderful shots - inside & out.

great patterns to the shots - I have visited here and love the idea that you can walk over the building on the grass to keep politicians humble and in their place!! Greetings from the Riviera,,,

You captured the geometry of shadows!

SHADOW, SHADOW

Shadow, shadow drawing near,
You are all alone, I fear;
Let me be your new-found friend—
I’ll stick with you to the end!
