Camera Critters

I saw these strange creatures washed up on a beach on the Central Coast of Australia in 2008. If I remember correctly, they were called Bluebottles. I think they look like some kind of jelly fish. I'm not sure if I would have wanted to meet them in the water....

They don't look too friendly!

Oh, but they are strange and wonderful creatures, with amazing colors.

I'm not sure I'd want to meet them on the sand, either! They are strange looking things and good for you for getting such nice shots of him.

They are beautiful but I am sure I wouldn't want to see them swimming with me. Great captures.

no you wouldn't because their long tentacles wrap themselves around your legs, arms or torso and give you a very nasty sting. You don;t want to swim when the sea is full of bluebottles.

They are good pictures you shot.

It's not exactly a jelly fish, but it's one of the most poisonous sea creatures. I found some at the mexican beaches, gladly, on the sand too. :-)
