Weekend Reflections #85

This is traditionally a shelter where the fishermen would hang up their fishing nets to dry. I'm not quite sure if it's still in use. This one is located in a small inlet from Rolvsfjord near Bergen.

I asked my husband if he knew why they would place this structure on an island, away from their house; they might need to mend the nets once they were dry, and then they had to get in their boat to get to them. To which he replied: Maybe that was the only way they could get some work done in peace, away from the wife! :-))) LOL!

This was taken Wednesday evening when my husband and I
climbed up a small hill to watch the sun sink into the ocean.

Guest Heart Thursday #56

I find so many hearts every week that I can't possibly post them all. I keep saving some for that week when I don't find any, but that doesn't happen, and that file just keeps growing :-) Here are some from this week:

Whoever painted this ugly bus shed

took the time to add two hearts on the back.

A pink cloud heart.

A big heart rock.

A chewing gum heart.

I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this fat heart 

on a piece of meat that I was preparing for a barbecue.

A white heart spot on a rock.

A feather heart.

A heart shaped piece of gravel showing through the moss.

Last night Sigve and I climbed a small hill to catch a gorgeous sunset.
As a bonus I found this beautiful big heart,
created by a rock and the rays from the setting sun.

I have to explain this one:
Fet is the name of a small community in eastern Norway.
The word "fet" also means fat.

So, who wants a piece of fat pizza?

World Bird Wednesday XXIII

A Hitchcock moment on the deck....

I know they are seagulls, but not what kind.

I do not pretend to be a bird photographer, nor do I know anything about birds, and I am totally in awe of all you amazing, knowledgeable people out there. The photos I am posting for World Bird Wednesday these days are the first bird photos I have ever taken, and they are mostly "lucky shots". But I may still learn from practice :-)
