Help! Anyone?

Dear fellow bloggers!

A few days ago, while uploading pictures for a post, a message popped up saying I had used up my storage space in my Picasa Web Album, but I could buy more storage space. Deleting pictures would remove them from the blog posts, but I managed to solve the immediate problem by deleting quite a few duplicates.

Have anyone else encountered this problem, and what do you do? Do you pay for more space, or do you just have to delete the earliest posts?

I would really appreciate hearing from someone on this!

Klem/Hugs :-)

Can't help you out, but I'll wish you luck. You must have "a lot" of pictures stored in Picasa. I never ever thought I would be taking this many photos--thank goodness for digital cameras!! Mickie

You can resize them. I use smaller size. Good luck.

I think I´ve had a similar problem, but that´s usually when I call my web-guy in Oslo, and he takes care of it. It does help to save the pictures in GIF, instead of jpeg, that makes them much smaller, and you get more pictures in the same storage space.

Hej Inger-M

I haven't had that problem (yet), but I put always my photos on an extern station and also on a DVD.
Mange takk for din besøk.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to give me advise on this! I really, really appreciate it! It's very helpful, and I have now figured out how to resize the pictures directly in Picasa. Didn't even think about doing that before! It's going to take some time, but it's a lot better than deleting blog posts. There is so much about computing that I don't know... but I'm learning, thanks to great people like you guys! :-))

Inger, I ran into the same problem with Google. It said I had exceeded my photo space so I ended up purchasing more. It only cost $5 here and it tripled the space allotment I had. I don't know about Picasa though.
