Swan story for World Bird Wednesday XXI

The other day I finally spotted some swans that seemed to be within camera range from the road, but the swans were not really that eager to be photo models. As soon as I got out of the car, this is what happened:

Oh oh, camera alert!

Ok, let's get out of here...

Get organized back there!

That's it, line up!

Hepp, two, three, four, hepp, two, three, four...

I guess that's far enough, back into the water!

Wait for me, it's so slippery!

Ok, ok, I think I can make it!

Please visit World Bird Wednesday for amazing bird photos.

too funny
nature has a way of playing with photographers, we see a pretty view and before we can frame it up they go off an rearrange themselves

Very funny, great photos and the script to go with them is great.

Perhaps next time they will be a bit more approachable

Enjoyed these.

So funny! The ice is still on the pond I see. It looks like you have the same sort of camera shy birds that I do. They are a challenge.
Congratulations on Helmers arrival. He looks happy and healthy. Welcome to the human race young fellow!

Wonderful post on the swans Inger. I think most all birds have the tendency to take off whenever you point a camera at them.
