This Saturday evening we attended evening song at the Utstein Monastery church, in Norway's best preserved monastery from the Middle Ages, located 30 minutes from Stavanger. On our way there, rain was pouring down, but during the service it cleared up, the sun came out, and made this lovely pattern on the old stone wall.
Visit Hey Harriet for more shadow shots.

Hvor er det et smukt sted, det må være stilhed for sjælen :-)
Old stone wall...modern lighting...ancient sunlight--you have it all!
I ALMOST LOST MY SHADOW
I almost lost my shadow,
I left it in the park;
I heard my mommy calling,
For it was getting dark;
She has no use for shadows,
She thinks they are quite grim,
And when she saw my shadow,
She thought it was a “him.”
I had to educate her
And tell her it was “she”—
And now my faithful shadow
Is welcome as can be!

Shadows in the Barrio
That's a marvelous shot! Most unusual.
Beautiful image!! What an amazing shadow I winder how long it has been cast on that wall over the decades :-)
This is beautiful. I really like the way you composed it and happy you included the lights (heat lamps?)
What a gorgeous shadow shot, like Samantha said, amazing when you think about how many times over the centuries that window has cast that shadow.
Have a great week.
